Summary of Personality 
Max is generally a quiet person and keeps himself to himself. He can seem emotionally rigid, not displaying his true feelings or emotions and being able to mask how he feels. He does have depression but tries hiding it so others do not know. He doesn’t want to be seen as weak as spends a lot of time focusing on exercise and gym work. Outside of work he does not mind socialising and meeting new people. He is friendly to others who show respect to him.

- Born in Chicago, Illinois to a Military family
- Grew up as an only child, attending a private school
- Based on a military base as his father was a high ranking office, Max could not remember what job he did
- Finished school and applied for the Marines which he was accepted
- Went on a few secret missions across the world
- Met a woman called Sarah, they entered a relationship
- During one conflict he witnessed his first death in Iraq during the first golf war
- Earned his first medal after the first golf war
- Took part in tours of Iraq and Afghanistan
- Was promoted to Brigadier General
- Began working more in tactics rather than fighting
- In 2001 he had his first child with Sarah
- Diagnosed with depression mainly due to the conflict and the amount of death he had witnessed
- Sarah was diagnosed with cancer, stage 4 in the brain
- Retired from the marines at 45 (honouree discharge)
- Stayed with Sarah to look after her and stayed with her until his death
- Moved to Boarwood for a quiet life finding a job in Boarwood as a prison guard. He wanted to move past Sarah and their relationship. He began raising Charlie by himself.
