- Teddy was raised as part of the Texan elite, comprised of wealthy and oftentimes outdated mindsets. It is through the nature vs. nurture argument that Teddy can sometimes be portrayed as a selfish and self-serving individual, immediately searching for outlets that make his current living situation better — no matter the cost it may have to others.
- Not only is he filled with uncertainty while in prison, it has also altered his personality into one that acts first and asks questions later. History:
- 1998 A — Teddy is born in a private wing of a hospital in Houston after twenty-three (23) hours.
- 1998 B — Anastasia is medically diagnosed with postnatal depression and begins drinking heavily.
- 1998 C — Harold physically hits Anastasia after nearly six years of no incidents.
- 1998 D — An exclusive live-in nanny is hired and serves as Teddy's primary carer up until his seventh birthday.
- 2005 A — Teddy's (7) nanny, Annabelle is fired under mysterious circumstances and is never heard from again.
- 2005 B — Anastasia learns of Harold's affair with the nanny and strikes him, both of them arguing while intoxicated.
